The decision to cut down a tree is not usually taken lightly. We're talking about a living thing, worthy of enjoying a long, healthy life.
What's more, trees provide a multitude of benefits to their environment and to human beings. Sometimes, we even become attached to one of these great plants in particular, whether because it was planted to celebrate our birth, or simply because we've developed the habit of resting at its feet or admiring it daily.
However, in some cases, felling becomes necessary for reasons of safety or the tree's health. Well-planned felling avoids the risks associated with trees that are diseased, weakened, or located too close to infrastructure.
In certain circumstances, the condition of a tree or its location may require intervention such as pruning, trimming, bracing or, as a last resort, felling. Here are a few examples of situations that may result in this drastic action.
